Some people working there were inexperienced.

The outside patio and pool deck at Inkungu Lodge are an ideal place to relax. With comfortable seating, lush surroundings, and tranquil views, it was the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day of meetings and conferences. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time there, soaking up the sunshine and taking in the beautiful scenery.
My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and we felt that the service at Inkungu Lodge lacked greatly.

I had an amazing stay at Inkungu Lodge in Champagne Valley. The views from our room were breathtaking, overlooking the magnificent Drakensberg vistas. The spacious and comfortable rooms provided the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. The dinners were delicious and the breakfast cooked to perfection. The manager, Hans, was always available and his friendly nature made us feel right at home. The well-maintained gardens and pool added to the overall charm of the lodge. Interacting with Zoe, the hotel dog, was an unexpected highlight. Although there were a few minor improvements that could be made, such as the bar stocks and shower water temperature, they did not overshadow the enjoyable experience we had. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again in the future.

The moment I stepped into the Inkungu Lodge, I was taken aback by the beautiful decor and cozy ambience. The tasteful furnishings and warm colors throughout the lodge made it feel like a home away from home. As a senior woman, I appreciated the comfortable seating areas in the common spaces, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Drakensberg mountains. The lodge was also easily accessible for us seniors, with short distances to walk and no steep staircases to climb.
If I were to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for seniors, it would be to have clearer signage in the hallways and common areas. Sometimes it was a bit confusing to find our way around, and the children working there were not always readily available to assist.

Food & wine pairing menu was exquisite, especially when paired with the hand-picked wine. The owners made me feel at home, and the outdoor activities were great. Stunning views of the mountain range.
The outdoor pool was too refreshing, had to resist the temptation of diving in fully clothed.

The views from the hotel were breathtaking, with beautiful mountains surrounding the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home during our stay. The breakfast spread was amazing, with a variety of fresh fruit, yogurt, and a delicious cooked breakfast.
There were a few minor inconveniences during our stay. our room lacked a mirror near an outlet for the hairdryer, which was a bit of a hassle.

The luxury rooms at Inkungu Lodge are fantastic for families like ours. We loved having our own beds and the stunning views of the Drakensberg from our private patio. The modern amenities like air conditioning and free Wi-Fi made our stay even more comfortable.
While the room was beautiful, I personally found the armoire a bit outdated. Others might still appreciate its charm though.

The views of the Central Drakensberg were insane, like mind-blowing. And guess what? We went horse riding and it was so legit! Galloping through the stunning landscapes was an experience out of this world. Plus, we were just a short drive away from the coolest ski resorts in the Alps. Unforgettable adventures, bro!
The only thing I wish was different is if they had a sick party scene for us young wildlings. A happening bar or some rad night activities would've taken the trip to a whole new level.
